“I remember, the night when the officer knocked on our door and told us to pack and move to a new house, from that moment I know that everything has now become the past.
I can’t move.
This house is my life.
I am married to the house.”
Role: Designer, Narrator, Interviewer (personal project)
Role Description:
Used Unity XR Interaction Toolkit to create a melancholic VR documentary combining photogrammetry, point cloud, and photography data
Summary: When the government announced demolishing a historic town where my father grew up that had more than 1000 years of history, the local residents were shocked and rejected. For them, the houses and towns were not only places for a living but held family stories. The sense of companionship can never be replaced. I interviewed one of the elderly residents and my grandma who was still living there and transferred the data I had into a short visual poem on the VR platform.
Software: Unity, Blender
